Street Rod Colours

The Harley-Davidson Street Rod was available in a range of seven colour options across its production run from 2017 to 2019, reflecting the bike's cafe-racer and street-fighter design influences. The colour palette leaned toward earthy, matte, and dark tones that complemented the Street Rod's aggressive stance rather than the traditional chrome-heavy Harley aesthetic.

Vivid Black was the classic, safe choice - a deep gloss black that suits the Street Rod's angular profile and looks particularly sharp with the chrome engine detailing. It was also the most common colour on the used market, which means resale liquidity is highest in this finish.

Olive Gold was the most distinctive option, giving the Street Rod an almost military-meets-cafe-racer character. It photographed exceptionally well and stood out in a crowd. Charcoal Denim - a matte dark grey - was perhaps the most consistent with the cafe racer aesthetic and aged gracefully, as minor scratches were less visible on the matte surface.

Other colours in the lineup included Baja Orange, Velocity Red Sunglo, Vivid Black, and Black Denim, offering a balance between bold and understated options. The coloured variants typically attracted a small price premium over Vivid Black on the used market, as they are rarer and more sought after by collectors.

The bodywork on the Street Rod is relatively minimal - the tank and fender carry the paint, while the rest of the bike is black or silver - which means the chosen colour is highly prominent and defines the overall look.
