01 / Why we started
Bought the same way you would
IndianAutoForum started in 2024 with a simple frustration: most bike research online is either a spec-sheet dump or a thinly disguised advertisement. Every review sounded the same, every spec page hid the same missing information, and nobody talked about the bike that wouldn't start on cold mornings.
We wanted a place where real owners talk honestly — about the service centre that actually listens, the mileage you really get instead of the brochure number, and the questions you only think of after you've already signed the loan papers.
So we built one: a bike database maintained like it matters, reviews that name the drawbacks, and a forum where the answer comes from someone who's actually ridden the route.

Specifications, variants, colours, and on-road price estimates for 50 Indian cities — kept current, not scraped once and forgotten.

Every review lists genuine drawbacks, not just highlights. If the service network is thin or the pillion seat is punishing, we say so.

Star ratings come only from registered IndianAutoForum members who actually own the bike — never pulled in from another site.

Ownership experiences, maintenance tips, mod guides, and buying advice from riders across the country — not a comment section.

Specs and prices are compiled from manufacturer materials and public sources, then cross-checked before anything publishes.

A review isn’t done until it names a real drawback. No bike gets a pass just because it’s popular.

We use software tools, including AI, to help compile specs and draft copy. Every page is reviewed by a human editor before it goes live.

Editorial verdicts are not for sale. The site is currently ad-free; if that changes, sponsored content will always be clearly labelled.
