The Harley-Davidson Road King was offered in India as a single mechanical variant with price differentiation based on colour choice - a common practice at Harley-Davidson globally. The base price of Rs 28,49,000 (ex-showroom) applied to the Vivid Black option, which is the most popular colour among Indian buyers for its classic touring look and lower price point.
Premium colours command a surcharge: Billiard Red and Stiletto Red cost approximately Rs 23,000 more than the base Vivid Black. The top-priced dual-tone option - Midnight Crimson / Stone Washed White Pearl - adds Rs 1,20,000 over the base price, taking the ex-showroom cost to approximately Rs 29,69,000. This dual-tone finish is visually striking and the most sought-after variant in the used market.
In terms of equipment, all colour variants are identically specified: Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine, 4-inch touchscreen, keyless ignition, dual-channel ABS, LED lighting, and the Road King's signature detachable windshield and saddlebags. There is no Road King Special available in India - that model was never officially imported.

When buying a used Road King, prioritise bikes with complete Harley-Davidson service history over those serviced at third-party workshops - not because third-party service is bad, but because manufacturer records give you a clearer picture of what parts have been replaced. Inspect the belt drive condition carefully; belt replacement is a specialised job. Also check that the ABS system is functioning correctly, as ABS repair parts can be hard to source. On-road prices vary by city due to different RTO rates - Delhi on-road for the base variant was approximately Rs 31.68 Lakh when last available new.
