The Yamaha FZ X is available in two variants in India, both sharing the same 149cc BS6 Phase 2 engine and full feature set. The only difference between them is the colour option and the resulting price - there's no stripped-down base or features-only top variant like some rivals structure their lineup.
FZ X Standard - Rs 1,23,910 ex-showroom (Delhi) Available in Metallic Black and Dark Matte Blue. This is the entry point and includes everything: traction control, Y-Connect Bluetooth connectivity, LED projector headlamp with DRL, single-channel ABS, USB Type-A charger, full-LCD instrument cluster, and the tuck-and-roll split seat. There's no feature penalty for choosing the lower-priced variant.
FZ X Deep Purplish Blue Metallic - Rs 1,32,310 ex-showroom (Delhi) Mechanically identical to the standard variant. The Rs 8,400 premium is purely for the exclusive Deep Purplish Blue Metallic paint - a rich, iridescent finish that shifts between purple and blue depending on the light. If you're keeping the bike for 4-5 years and the colour matters to you, this is worth serious consideration.
On-road prices add RTO, comprehensive insurance, and dealer handling charges, pushing the total to Rs 1.43-1.57 lakh across cities. Bangalore and Pune buyers face steeper road tax compared to Delhi.
