Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Colour Options
The standard Speed Twin 1200 and the RS share a palette of five schemes, all at the same price, while each limited edition gets one exclusive finish of its own.
Sapphire Black is the single-tone option and the quietest of the five. On a bike with this much chrome and brushed metal on show - the exhaust headers, the engine covers, the bar-end mirrors - a plain black tank lets the hardware do the talking. It is also the easiest colour to live with in Indian conditions, hiding dust between washes far better than the lighter schemes.
Carnival Red and Sapphire Black is the most classically Triumph of the group: deep red across the teardrop tank with black panels and a hand-applied gold pinstripe separating the two. This is the scheme that photographs best and the one that most clearly signals modern classic rather than modern naked.
Crystal White and Sapphire Black is crisp and period-correct, referencing 1960s Bonneville paint. It looks superb clean and shows every speck of road grime, so budget for more washing if you ride daily.
Baja Orange and Sapphire Black is the boldest of the standard options - a warm, saturated orange over the tank with black flanks. It suits the bike's roadster stance and stands out in a car park full of black and grey machinery.
Aluminium Silver is the understated pick, a brushed-metal-look finish that leans into the bike's engineering rather than its heritage.
Beyond those five, the Cafe Racer Edition wears an exclusive dual-tone Competition Green and Aluminium Silver scheme with a colour-matched headlight cowl and a quilted tan leather seat, and the TFC gets Obsidian Gold - a metallic black base with gold metallic detailing, set off by carbon fibre mudguards and side panels.

None of the five standard schemes carries a price premium, so pick on looks alone. For Indian ownership the practical ranking is straightforward: Sapphire Black and Aluminium Silver are the low-maintenance choices, Carnival Red is the best-looking compromise between drama and dust, and Crystal White is the one that will have you washing the bike every weekend through monsoon season. Paint quality across the range is excellent - the multi-layer finish on the teardrop tank is a clear step above anything from Indian manufacturers, and the hand-applied pinstriping on the two-tone schemes is genuinely done by hand. The two limited-edition finishes are not orderable on the standard bike or the RS.
