The Matter AERA range keeps things simple - two variants, a Rs 10,518 price gap, and a clear upgrade hierarchy.
AERA 5000 - Rs 1,83,308 (ex-showroom, Ahmedabad) The base variant delivers everything that makes the AERA compelling: the 4-speed Hypershift Gearbox, 5 kWh liquid-cooled battery, 7-inch TFT touchscreen, 4G eSIM with navigation, keyless start, park assist, and reverse mode. The only meaningful compromises are single-channel ABS (front wheel only) and a restricted two-colour palette - Cosmic Black and Cosmic Blue. For a budget-conscious buyer riding mostly in dry urban conditions, the 5000 covers every essential.
AERA 5000+ - Rs 1,93,826 (ex-showroom, Ahmedabad) The 5000+ upgrades to dual-channel ABS, which brings rear-wheel intervention on hard stops - a meaningfully safer setup on wet roads or sandy urban patches. It also expands the colour options to five: Cosmic Black, Cosmic Blue, Glacier White, Blaze Red, and Nord Grey. Both variants run the same battery, motor, and warranty terms, and both are eligible for OTA updates.
Which variant should you buy? The answer is almost always the AERA 5000+. The Rs 10,518 gap is modest relative to the on-road total, and dual-channel ABS on a 168 kg motorcycle with a 105 km/h top speed is a genuine safety upgrade - not a spec-sheet checkbox. The wider colour palette is a bonus. The base 5000 only makes practical sense if you're extremely budget-constrained or your local dealer has the 5000+ on a longer delivery wait.
