Honda Dio Latest News 2025
The big news for 2025 is the Honda Dio's OBD-2B compliance update, which Honda used as an opportunity to meaningfully upgrade the scooter rather than making a compliance-only tweak. The 2025 Dio gets the new 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster on the DLX variant - the same type of display that's found its way into much more expensive scooters - along with a USB Type-C charging port as standard on both variants.
Other 2025 updates include revised graphics across all colour options, giving the Dio a fresher look without changing the underlying body panels, and the ACG (Automatic Clutch Generator) silent starter system, which eliminates the noise of a traditional self-start motor. The external front fuel filler cap - a Dio signature that riders have always appreciated - is retained.
The STD variant is priced at Rs 70,309 and the DLX at Rs 82,362 (ex-showroom) for the 2025 model. This represents a modest price increase from the previous model, primarily reflecting the OBD-2B compliance costs that all manufacturers have absorbed this year.
Honda has not announced any further updates for the near term. The Dio 125 - the 123.92cc sibling with PGM-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity via the H-Smart variant - received its own separate 2025 OBD-2B update, priced from Rs 96,749.

Honda launched the Dio 125 X-Edition in India at Rs 87,733 (ex-showroom Delhi) on February 4, 2026. The new variant is mechanically identical to the standard Dio 125 but adds dual-tone Pearl Deep Ground Grey with Pearl Siren Blue paint, coloured matte alloy wheels, and X-themed decals - positioned Rs 1,000 above the standard Dio 125 DLX.
Honda's Dio range (110cc and 125cc combined) recorded sales of 27,951 units in July 2025, down from 33,472 units in June 2025 - representing a month-on-month decline of approximately 16% but maintaining the Dio's position as one of the top-selling scooter nameplates in India.
Honda launched the 2025 Dio 125 in India on April 16, 2025 with OBD-2B compliance, priced at Rs 96,749 for the DLX and Rs 1,02,144 for the H-Smart variant (ex-showroom Pune). The update brings a revised 123.92cc engine producing 8.3 PS and 10.5 Nm, and adds a 4.2-inch TFT display with navigation and call/message alerts on both variants.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India launched the 2025 Honda Dio 110 on January 14, 2025, priced at Rs 74,930 for the STD and Rs 85,648 for the DLX variant (ex-showroom Delhi). The updated scooter receives an OBD-2B compliant 109.51cc engine, a new 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster on the DLX, a USB Type-C charging port on both variants, and an ACG silent starter system.
