F 450 GS Photos

The BMW F 450 GS carries the GS design language from the larger F 850 GS and R 1250 GS down to the single-cylinder platform. The silhouette is instantly recognisable as a BMW adventure motorcycle: the tall front end, the beak-style front cowl over the 21-inch spoked front wheel, the slim midsection, and the high-mounted rear section.

From the front, the F 450 GS is dominated by the LED headlight cluster and the wide handlebars positioned for standing off-road riding. The 43mm WP USD forks are exposed and prominent - a clear visual signal of the suspension specification. The beak is more conservative than on the R 1250 GS but unmistakably BMW.

The side profile shows the slim tank (13 litres) and the short, high seat. The engine is exposed - no full fairing, which is both aesthetically appropriate for an adventure motorcycle and practical for bush repair access. The side panels carry BMW Motorrad branding and the GS logo.

From the rear, the 18-inch spoked rear wheel, upswept exhaust, and high-mounted pillion seat create a functional adventure silhouette. The tail is compact compared to touring-oriented ADVs.

The cockpit is minimal - a digital LCD instrument panel, switchgear for ABS modes, and the trip computer controls. There is no colour TFT display on the base specification, which contrasts with the KTM 390 Adventure's 5-inch TFT screen and Bluetooth connectivity.
