Yamaha R3 Price - Ex-Showroom, On-Road & City-Wise
The Yamaha R3 is priced at Rs 3,39,028 ex-showroom in Delhi - making it the most affordable parallel-twin sportsbike currently on sale in India. This price reflects a significant reduction from the earlier Rs 4,64,900 price tag, after the Indian government cut GST on sub-350cc motorcycles from 28% to 18% in 2025 and Yamaha passed the benefit on to buyers.
Ex-showroom prices vary significantly across cities due to state RTO tax differences:
| City | Ex-Showroom Price |
|---|---|
| Delhi | Rs 3,39,028 |
| Mumbai | Rs 3,94,871 |
| Pune | Rs 3,94,871 |
| Hyderabad | Rs 3,94,101 |
| Chennai | Rs 3,94,871 |
| Bangalore | Rs 4,21,154 |
On-road prices add RTO registration charges, comprehensive insurance (recommended for a bike at this price point), and dealer/handling fees. In Delhi, the full on-road price works out to approximately Rs 3,89,466 - one of the most competitive on-road prices for a parallel-twin sportsbike anywhere in India.
Bangalore buyers face the steepest on-road cost, with Karnataka's high road tax pushing the total past Rs 5 lakh. Riders in Bangalore who want to keep costs down sometimes register in nearby Hyderabad or Tumkur before transferring - though this involves paperwork and is only advisable if you understand the process.
For EMI calculations: a standard 80% loan at 9% p.a. over 36 months on the Delhi on-road price of Rs 3,89,466 results in a monthly EMI of approximately Rs 12,400. Over 48 months, this drops to around Rs 9,700 per month. Most Yamaha dealers offer tie-ups with HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Bajaj Finance.
The R3 does not attract any additional cess or surcharge beyond standard GST - it falls cleanly under the sub-350cc bracket that benefited from the 2025 tax revision.

Yamaha R3 On-Road Price — All Cities
The R3's price trajectory over the last two years has been dramatic. From Rs 4,64,900 (ex-showroom Delhi) in mid-2024, it dropped to Rs 3,59,900 in early 2025 following the first Yamaha price cut, and then further to Rs 3,39,028 after the GST rationalisation. This means buyers who waited have been significantly rewarded. Whether prices will drop further depends on whether the upcoming 2025 model (which adds an assist & slipper clutch, new LCD cluster with Bluetooth, and revised styling) launches at a premium or replaces the current model at the same price point. Until the 2025 R3 has a confirmed India launch date, the current model at Rs 3,39,028 remains the best parallel-twin sportsbike value available.
