Vespa SXL 125 Photos
The Vespa SXL 125 wears one of the most distinctive silhouettes in the Indian scooter market. The pressed-steel monocoque body - inherited directly from the original 1946 Vespa - gives it a curved, sculpted look that no other 125cc scooter in India can replicate. Every line flows into the next; there are no sharp edges or fussy plastic panels.
Up front, the full-LED headlight sits within a classic circular housing flanked by chrome-edged panels. DRLs give it a contemporary touch without compromising the retro aesthetic. The semi-digital instrument cluster sits clean on the handlebar - analogue speed reading on the left, digital display for fuel, trip, and odometer on the right.
The side profile shows the characteristic Vespa step-through floorboard, wide running boards, and the exposed front wheel. The SXL's name comes from its sportier orientation over the VXL - wider rear footpegs, a marginally more forward riding stance, and a slightly lower visual centre of gravity.
Chrome detailing appears on the headlight surround, exhaust heat shield, and mirror mounts. It's tasteful - never excessive - exactly as you'd expect from an Italian brand that has been designing scooters for 80 years.
The rear carries a clean LED tail-light cluster and a split dual seat for rider and pillion. The 10-inch rear wheel and wider rear tyre give the back end a planted, premium look that sets it apart from the tall, narrow wheels of most Indian 125cc scooters.

The Racing Sixties edition is the most photographed SXL - its period-correct racing graphics and numbered badge make it a genuinely collectible design object. The Tuscany Orange and Midnight Blue colourways photograph exceptionally well in natural light.
One practical note: the monocoque body means dent and panel repair is more expensive than on conventional scooters. If you plan to park regularly in tight urban spaces - Mumbai lanes, Bengaluru basement parking - factor in the risk of cosmetic damage and higher repair costs.
