Kawasaki Z1100 Full Specifications 2026

The Kawasaki Z1100 is built around a 1099cc liquid-cooled, DOHC inline-four engine - an evolution of the long-serving Z1000 motor bored out and retuned for more low-end grunt. It produces 136 PS at 9,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 7,600 rpm, both usable figures that translate into effortless overtaking on NH44 or a sustained blast on an empty expressway.

Power delivery is deliberately biased toward the mid-range. Kawasaki's engineers tuned the intake ports and ECU mapping to ensure the torque builds early, which makes riding in Indian traffic far less stressful than peak-power-obsessed rivals. A bidirectional quickshifter is standard - clutchless up and downshifts at any speed make daily riding noticeably smoother.

The frame is a twin-tube aluminium unit shared with the Ninja 1100SX, giving the Z1100 a rigid backbone while keeping mass low. Up front, a 41mm Showa SFF-BP fully adjustable USD fork handles bump absorption and cornering loads. At the rear, a Showa mono shock with full preload and rebound adjustment is fitted. The SE variant abroad gets Öhlins at the rear, but the standard unit is more than adequate for Indian roads.

Braking is handled by twin 310 mm front discs with 4-piston Tokico radial calipers and a single 260 mm rear disc with 1-piston caliper - strong enough to haul the 221 kg bike down from triple-digit speeds with confidence. Kawasaki's KCMF (Kawasaki Cornering Management Function) coordinates ABS and traction control through a 5-axis IMU, making the system genuinely smart about where the bike is leaning.

The instrument cluster is a 5-inch full-colour TFT display compatible with the Rideology app via Bluetooth, supporting turn-by-turn navigation prompts, SMS and call alerts, and ride data logging. Electronics riders get: four riding modes (Sport, Road, Rain, Rider), three levels of traction control, two power modes, cruise control, and lean-angle-sensitive ABS - all configurable on the fly from the handlebar switchgear.
