The 2025 Indian Scout is built around Indian's all-new SpeedPlus V-twin engine - and it's a meaningful step up from the outgoing 1133cc unit it replaces. The standard Scout lineup runs a 1250cc version of the SpeedPlus making 106.46 bhp and 108 Nm of torque at 6,300 rpm. The 101 Scout variant takes that further to 112.54 bhp through revised tuning. Both figures are class-competitive and deliver the kind of mid-range grunt that makes the Scout feel effortless in real-world riding, whether you're navigating Bengaluru traffic or cruising on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

The Scout Sixty models - Scout Sixty Bobber and Scout Sixty Classic - run a 999cc version of the same SpeedPlus architecture, producing 86.17 bhp and 88 Nm. It's a notably softer tune, better suited to city riding and to buyers entering the large cruiser segment for the first time.

On the Scout Classic (the most popular 1250cc model), key dimensions are: kerb weight 252 kg, seat height 680 mm, fuel tank 13 litres, ground clearance 113 mm. The 680 mm seat height is genuinely low for a V-twin cruiser of this displacement - a practical advantage for shorter riders in urban riding conditions. The 13-litre tank and 20 kmpl ARAI mileage translate to approximately 250-260 km per fill-up.

Braking on all Scout models uses 298 mm disc rotors front and rear, with a two-piston front caliper and single-piston rear, backed by dual-channel ABS. The setup offers progressive, confident stopping. Suspension is telescopic forks up front (120 mm travel) and dual shocks at the rear (76 mm travel).

The transmission is a 6-speed manual with belt final drive - low maintenance, clean, and quiet compared to chain-drive setups. All models get LED lighting as standard. The three trim levels (Standard, Limited, Limited+Tech) then layer in: traction control and ride modes (Limited), and TFT display, keyless ignition, navigation, accident alerts, and vehicle locator (Limited+Tech).
