SP160 Variants & Prices

The Honda SP160 is offered in two variants - Single Disc and Double Disc - with a price gap of Rs 5,510 between them. The key difference is the rear braking setup: the Single Disc variant uses a 130 mm rear drum brake, while the Double Disc variant gets a 220 mm rear disc brake. Both variants come with the same 276 mm front disc brake and single-channel ABS (front wheel only). Everything else - engine, TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, LED lighting, USB-C port, and chassis - is identical.

SP160 Single Disc - Rs 1,16,270 (ex-showroom Delhi) This is the entry point into the SP160 range and the more popular variant. The rear drum brake performs well in everyday city riding and is virtually maintenance-free compared to a disc. For a buyer who primarily rides in the city and doesn't push the bike hard, the Single Disc is the practical choice and saves Rs 5,510 over the Double Disc.

SP160 Double Disc - Rs 1,21,780 (ex-showroom Delhi) The Double Disc variant adds a rear disc brake, which improves braking feel and modulation - particularly noticeable during hard stops or downhill braking. If you regularly ride at highway speeds or frequently carry a pillion, the improved rear braking is worth the premium. The Double Disc also looks slightly more premium due to the disc rotor at the rear.

For most urban riders, the Single Disc is the better buy - the rear drum is reliable, low-maintenance, and the Rs 5,510 saving is real money. If you're frequently on highways or want the more complete braking package, the Double Disc is worth it. Note that on-road prices vary significantly by city - the same Single Disc variant costs Rs 1,15,733 in Delhi but Rs 1,27,477 in Bangalore due to state-level RTO differences.
