SP 125 Specifications

The Honda SP 125 is powered by a 123.94cc air-cooled, single-cylinder OHC engine that uses Honda's eSP (enhanced Smart Power) technology - a low-friction engine design with roller rocker arms and an offset cylinder that reduces mechanical losses and squeezes more efficiency out of every drop of fuel. The result is a peak output of 10.87 PS at 7500 rpm and 10.9 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm, delivered through a smooth 5-speed gearbox with a conventional chain drive.

On paper, the ARAI-claimed mileage is 63 kmpl. In practice, owners riding in mixed city and highway conditions report 60-63 kmpl - figures that hold up well compared to rivals claiming similar numbers but often delivering less.

The engine sits in a tubular frame with a telescopic front fork and a 5-step adjustable hydraulic rear shock. Ground clearance is a sensible 160 mm - enough for most city roads and mild uneven patches, though it won't inspire confidence on deeply broken rural roads. The 790 mm seat height is accessible for riders of average build.

At 116 kg kerb weight, the SP 125 is one of the lighter bikes in the 125cc segment, which makes manoeuvring through tight city traffic noticeably less tiring. The 11-litre fuel tank is a practical size - giving you a real-world range of roughly 660-690 km before you need to fill up.

All variants get an all-LED headlamp, a fully digital instrument console, and tubeless tyres on alloy wheels (80/100-18 front, 100/80-18 rear). The STD and Anniversary Edition use drum brakes all around with CBS; the DLX adds a 240 mm front disc brake, a TFT colour console, and Honda RoadSync Bluetooth for music and navigation alerts via your phone. A USB Type-A charging port is exclusive to the DLX variant.
