CB1000 Hornet Colours

Honda offers the CB1000 Hornet SP in just one colour in India: Matte Black Metallic. It's a deliberate, aggressive choice - the flat, non-reflective black finish suits the Hornet's sharp-edged, angular design language and gives it a purposeful, understated presence on the road.

The Matte Black Metallic finish covers the fuel tank, side panels, and bodywork. The engine cases are left bare, and the headers run into a short underbelly exhaust with a polished tip that contrasts well against the dark theme. The alloy wheels are also finished in black, keeping the entire package cohesive.

Globally, the CB1000 Hornet SP is available in additional colour options including Pearl Glare White and a graphite/black combination. Honda's decision to offer only Matte Black in India is a common cost and inventory management move for big-bike segments where sales volumes are relatively low.

Matte finishes require slightly more care than gloss - avoid automated car washes, harsh chemicals, and abrasive cloths. A dedicated matte detailing product every few months keeps the finish looking sharp. The good news is that matte black hides minor road dust and minor scratches better than a gloss white or red would.

For those who want a different look, aftermarket vinyl wraps or custom paint shops can transform the Hornet significantly, and the simple black base is an easy canvas to work with. Some BigWing dealers have quoted Rs 8,000-15,000 for a quality full-bike vinyl wrap as an alternative.
