Hero Passion Xtec Variants and Prices

The Hero Passion Xtec was offered in two primary variants - the Drum and the Disc - both sharing the same 113.2cc BS6 Phase 2 engine and the full Xtec feature pack.

Hero Passion Xtec Drum - Rs 81,038 (ex-showroom, Delhi) The base variant uses a 130mm drum brake at both ends. For most daily commuters in city conditions, this is perfectly adequate stopping power. The Drum variant weighs 117 kg and comes with all Xtec features: LED projector headlamp, Bluetooth console, USB charger, i3S system, and side-stand cut-off sensor.

Hero Passion Xtec Disc - Rs 85,438 (ex-showroom, Delhi) Spending Rs 4,400 more gets you a 240mm front disc brake in place of the drum. This makes a real difference in emergency braking confidence, especially in wet conditions or when riding two-up. Kerb weight goes up by 1 kg to 118 kg. Otherwise, specifications are identical to the Drum variant.

Which variant should you choose? If your daily ride involves highways, school runs with a pillion, or wet monsoon roads, the disc variant is worth the Rs 4,400 premium. Pure city commuters who rarely exceed 50 km/h can save the money and go with the Drum. Both variants cover 80/100-18 (front) and 100/90-18 (rear) tubeless tyres on alloy wheels.

Note on discontinued 100 Million Edition variants: Hero also sold special Drum and Disc variants under the '100 Million Edition' badge - these came with a special gold-and-black livery to mark Hero's cumulative sales milestone. These were limited-run and are largely sold out of stock.
