Hero Karizma XMR News: 2025 Launch, Updates & What's New
The Hero Karizma XMR has seen meaningful updates since its debut in August 2023. Here is a timeline of all major news and changes:
August 2023 - Original Launch Hero MotoCorp launched the Karizma XMR at a starting price of Rs 1.72 lakh (ex-showroom), reviving the iconic Karizma nameplate with a new 210cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine. It was the first Hero bike with DOHC technology, liquid cooling, and a 6-speed gearbox. Initial reception was strong, primarily because of the performance figures and competitive pricing.
October 2024 - EICMA Preview Hero showcased an updated Karizma XMR at EICMA 2024 in Milan, previewing a USD inverted fork and a new full-colour TFT instrument console. This confirmed that a substantial update was incoming for the 2025 model year.
2025 - Updated Model Launched Hero silently launched the updated 2025 Karizma XMR with three variants initially: Base (Rs 1,81,400), Top (Rs 1,99,750), and Combat Edition (Rs 2,01,500). The Top and Combat Edition received the 37mm USD inverted fork and 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth. The base telescopic-fork variant was subsequently discontinued, leaving the current two-variant lineup.
Combat Edition Teased Prior to launch, Hero teased the Combat Edition variant with its gold-finished inverted fork and matte Combat Grey colourway - generating significant online discussion before the official reveal.
Hero Karizma XMR 250 - In Development Hero is reportedly developing a Karizma XMR 250 with a new 250cc engine producing approximately 30 PS. Expected launch is in late 2026 at a price around Rs 2 lakh. No official confirmation yet.

Hero MotoCorp has officially delisted the base Karizma XMR 210 variant (with conventional telescopic fork and LCD display) from its website and dealerships. The base was priced at Rs 1,81,400 (ex-showroom Delhi); with its removal, the entry point to the Karizma XMR range has risen to Rs 1,99,750 (Top variant).
Hero MotoCorp added the Karizma XMR Combat Edition to the 2025 lineup at Rs 2,01,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Combat Edition is mechanically identical to the Top variant but features an exclusive matte Combat Grey colourway and aggressive combat-themed graphics - it is the first exclusive colourway in the Karizma XMR range.
