The Harley-Davidson Street Bob runs the Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic - a 1,923 cc air and oil-cooled V-twin that is one of the finest engines Harley has produced. Numbers on paper: 91.18 bhp at 5,020 rpm and a chest-thumping 156 Nm of torque at just 2,750 rpm. That torque peak is so low in the rev range that the engine feels like it pulls from idle - exactly the sensation you buy a Harley for on an open highway.

The six-speed gearbox is smooth with well-spaced ratios, and the Street Bob now gets a quickshifter. ARAI claims 18.18 kmpl, which is reasonable for a 1,923 cc cruiser; real-world highway mileage typically lands around 15-17 kmpl in mixed conditions.

At 293 kg kerb weight, the Street Bob is not a light motorcycle. However, the centre of gravity is positioned well, and the 680 mm seat height - low even by international standards - means most Indian riders can flat-foot or get close to it. Ground clearance of 125 mm is adequate for smooth roads but demands caution on broken city stretches and unmarked speed bumps.

Suspension is a 41 mm telescopic fork up front (unadjustable) and a monoshock hidden under the seat at the rear with preload adjustment. This is a comfort-oriented setup - not sporty, but composed over long highway stretches. The 19-inch front and 16-inch rear wheel sizing gives the bike its characteristic cruiser stance.

Brakes are dual discs front and rear - a 4-piston caliper upfront and a 2-piston at the rear - with dual-channel ABS as standard. The electronics go further: cornering ABS, cornering traction control, and drag-torque slip control are all part of the standard Rider Safety Enhancements package. Three riding modes (Rain, Road, Sport) adjust throttle response and traction intervention. Cruise control and TPMS are included. The 13.2-litre fuel tank gives a comfortable 180-200 km highway range between stops.
