Harley-Davidson Roadster Colour Options
The Harley-Davidson Roadster was offered in three colour options in India, each staying true to the bike's performance-focused, blacked-out character:
Vivid Black - The quintessential Roadster colour. A deep, rich gloss black that covers the tank, fenders, and engine covers, with blacked-out engine cases, exhaust, and wheels completing the dark aesthetic. This is the colour the Roadster was designed around - it erases unnecessary visual complexity and lets the aggressive stance do the talking. The most popular choice among Indian buyers, and the easiest colour to source touch-up paint for post-purchase.
Wicked Red - A bold, deep red that gives the Roadster a more dramatic, expressive personality without sacrificing the blacked-out hardware treatment. The contrast between the vibrant tank and the dark mechanicals creates a striking visual combination. Less common on Indian roads than the Vivid Black, which makes it more distinctive in a crowd.
Billiard White - A clean, creamy white that reads as classically retro rather than modern. Against the blacked-out engine and exhaust, the white tank and fenders create a strong two-tone visual that draws comparisons to 1950s and 60s American racing motorcycles. Maintenance-intensive compared to black - every scratch and road grime shows - but visually the most photographed of the three options.
All three colours share the same blacked-out treatment for the engine cases, exhaust pipes, wheels, and mechanical components. This consistent dark hardware across the entire colour range is the Roadster's defining visual identity - it looked sharper and more purposeful than the chromed-up Sportster siblings it sat alongside.

Harley-Davidson Roadster in Billiard Red
Harley-Davidson Roadster in Vivid Black
Harley-Davidson Roadster in Wicked Red
When buying a used Roadster, colour condition matters significantly to resale value. Vivid Black is the easiest to touch up and maintains value best. Wicked Red is desirable because of its rarity on Indian roads. Billiard White requires careful inspection for micro-scratches and swirl marks from improper washing - look closely in direct sunlight before purchase. All three colours age well when the bike has been stored properly and not left in direct sunlight for extended periods.
