Harley-Davidson Fat Boy - All Variants and Prices
The Harley-Davidson Fat Boy is available in three variants in India, all mechanically identical - the differences are purely cosmetic. This keeps the buying decision refreshingly simple for a motorcycle at this price point: you are choosing a paint scheme, not a trim level.
The base variant, Billiard Gray / Blue Burst, is priced at Rs 28,03,000 ex-showroom. It offers a choice of two distinct finishes: a cool metallic mid-grey (Billiard Gray) or a deep metallic blue (Blue Burst). The Vivid Black variant - the classic all-black finish that has been a Fat Boy staple for decades - is priced slightly higher at Rs 28,13,000. The top-of-range Whiskey Fire / Vivid Black variant, a rich amber-bronze over black two-tone scheme, carries a premium at Rs 28,56,000.
The Rs 53,000 spread between the cheapest and most expensive variant is entirely down to paint. All three get the same 1923 cc Milwaukee-Eight 117 Custom engine, identical dual-channel ABS and traction control suite, the same 49 mm fork, hidden monoshock, Michelin Scorcher tyres, and Boom! GTS infotainment. There are no detuned base motors, no feature deletions on lower variants.
On-road prices vary considerably across India due to state-level RTO registration charges:
- Delhi: Rs 31.42 Lakh
- Mumbai: Rs 34.78 Lakh
- Bangalore: Rs 34.22 Lakh
- Hyderabad: Rs 32.01 Lakh
- Ahmedabad: Rs 32.54 Lakh
- Chennai: Rs 32.01 Lakh
Maharashtra and Karnataka levy higher road tax on premium motorcycles, which is why Mumbai and Bangalore on-road figures are notably higher than Delhi. If you are in a border zone, it is worth calculating whether purchasing in a lower-RTO state saves enough to cover transport and paperwork costs.

Choosing between Fat Boy variants comes down entirely to which finish suits you. Vivid Black is a timeless choice that ages well and hides road grime better than lighter colours - it also has the strongest resale recognition in India's used-bike market. Whiskey Fire / Vivid Black is the statement option: more expensive but strikingly distinctive in sunlight. Billiard Gray and Blue Burst offer a rarer look on Indian roads.
All three variants carry the same resale trajectory since they are mechanically identical. EMI financing through Harley-Davidson's authorised dealers at 10% over 36 months works out to approximately Rs 76,000-96,000 per month depending on your city and down payment.
