The Harley-Davidson Fat Boy in India currently runs the Milwaukee-Eight 117 Custom engine configuration introduced with the 2024 model year update. This brought the displacement up from the earlier 1,868 cc Milwaukee-Eight 114 to 1,923 cc - adding torque and peak power across the rev range. More significantly, the 2024 update introduced updated electronics: Drag-Torque Slip Control System (DSCS) and cornering-enhanced versions of both ABS and traction control. For Indian riding conditions, where road surfaces can change abruptly, these are meaningful safety additions rather than just spec-sheet numbers.
For the 2026 model year, Harley-Davidson added Olive Steel Metallic as a new global colour option (availability in India to be confirmed by dealers). Harley-Davidson announced the 2026 Fat Boy with new Olive Steel Metallic two-tone as an additional global colour option alongside the existing Dark Billiard Gray, Vivid Black, White Onyx Pearl, and Brilliant Red. India availability of the Olive Steel Metallic finish is yet to be officially confirmed by Harley-Davidson India.
The 2026 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy received a USB-C charging port and an updated instrument display as standard fitment alongside the existing Boom! GTS infotainment system. Suspension damping was also fine-tuned for improved absorption on rough surfaces, though the Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine specification remains unchanged.
Harley-Davidson unveiled the Fat Boy Gray Ghost as a global limited edition Icons Collection model, restricted to 1,990 units worldwide to mark 35 years of the Fat Boy. The bike features a first-of-its-kind Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) 'Reflection' finish on the fuel tank and fenders, a leather seat, 3D tank medallion, and laced trim. No India allocation has been announced.
