Ducati XDiavel Latest News and Updates
April 2024 - Ducati XDiavel Discontinued in India Ducati India officially discontinued the XDiavel (L-twin) in April 2024, ending the run of the 1262cc Desmodronic Variable Timing-powered power cruiser that first arrived in India in 2016. The move was expected: Ducati had already previewed the XDiavel V4 globally, and the regulatory and model-cycle pressures made continued production of the L-twin version unviable.
December 2024 - Ducati XDiavel V4 Launched in India Ducati launched the XDiavel V4 - the direct successor - at ₹30,88,700 (Burning Red) and ₹31,19,700 (Black Lava) ex-showroom, replacing the L-twin with the 1158cc V4 Granturismo engine making 168.6 PS and 126 Nm. The XDiavel V4 adds radar-based cruise control, a 6.9-inch TFT with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and cylinder deactivation.
2021 - BS6 XDiavel Launched in India The final generation of the L-twin XDiavel launched in India in 2021 with BS6 compliance, offered in two variants: XDiavel Dark (₹18 Lakh at launch) and XDiavel Black Star (₹22.60 Lakh at launch). Prices were later revised upward to ₹21.20 Lakh and ₹24.49 Lakh before discontinuation.

The XDiavel V4, which replaced the 1262cc L-twin XDiavel as the successor, carries forward an ex-showroom price of ₹30,88,700 (Burning Red) and ₹31,19,700 (Black Lava) into the new model year with no changes to pricing or specification.
Ducati India launched the XDiavel V4 on December 29, 2025 at ₹30,88,700 (Burning Red) and ₹31,19,700 (Black Lava) ex-showroom - the direct successor to the discontinued 1262cc L-twin XDiavel. The XDiavel V4 uses a 1158cc V4 Granturismo engine making 168.6 PS and 126 Nm, with additions including radar-based cruise control, a 6.9-inch TFT with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and rear cylinder deactivation.
The Ducati XDiavel (1262cc L-twin) was officially discontinued in India in April 2024, with last recorded ex-showroom prices of ₹21,20,000 (XDiavel Dark) and ₹24,49,000 (XDiavel Black Star). Ducati confirmed that authorised service centres will continue to support existing owners with parts and service beyond the discontinuation date.
For XDiavel L-twin owners in India, Ducati's authorised service network continues to support the model with parts and service. Extended parts availability was confirmed at the time of discontinuation. Owners looking to upgrade to the XDiavel V4 should contact their nearest Ducati dealership for exchange valuations, as residual values on the L-twin XDiavel have held reasonably well given its limited production run and enthusiast demand.
