BMW M 1000 RR Variants and Prices
The BMW M 1000 RR was sold in two variants in India. The Standard at Rs 49,00,000 included the complete performance package - 212 PS engine, M Winglets, Race ABS Pro, seven riding modes with three configurable Race Pro settings, launch control, pit-lane limiter, bi-directional quickshifter, and the 6.5-inch TFT with WiFi and GPS connectivity. There was no economy on the performance hardware in the base trim.
The Competition at Rs 55,00,000 added six categories of upgrades over the Standard: a GPS Lap Timer for circuit timing (connected to the TFT display), a Carbon Pack comprising carbon fibre front and rear mudguards, carbon upper fairing, side panels, tank cover, chain guard, and sprocket cover (replacing the standard painted panels and reducing unsprung mass), an M BilletPack including engine protectors, folding brake and clutch levers, rider footrests, a passenger kit and rear seat cowl converting the bike to a visual single-seater, and an anti-theft alarm system.
The Rs 6,00,000 gap between Standard and Competition is almost entirely hardware and carbon fibre - not electronics. The GPS Lap Timer is genuinely useful on circuit; it integrates with the TFT display to show sector times and lap data without a phone mount. The carbon fibre components reduce weight by approximately 2-3 kg versus the painted plastic equivalents. The M BilletPack engine protectors are a sensible addition for track use where falls are statistically more likely.
For road and occasional track use, the Standard is the complete package. For riders who are regularly on circuit and want the lighter carbon body panels and integrated lap timing, the Competition's premium is defensible. On the used market, Competition examples carry a Rs 3-5 lakh premium over Standard examples depending on condition.

Both variants were sold through BMW Motorrad India dealerships and are now out of production. Used market availability will vary by city - Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Pune are the most likely markets for second-hand M 1000 RR examples. When inspecting a used Competition variant, verify the carbon fibre components are original and undamaged (carbon fibre is expensive to replace), check that the GPS Lap Timer module is functioning and paired to the TFT, and inspect the M BilletPack engine protectors for evidence of any track incidents.
