Suzuki Katana Variants and Prices in India
The Suzuki Katana was sold in India as a single variant - the Katana STD - priced at Rs 13.61 Lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). Unlike many competitors that offer entry and premium trim levels, Suzuki kept the Katana's specification uniform: every unit shipped with the bidirectional quickshifter, five-level traction control, Brembo front brakes, fully adjustable KYB suspension, and the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System as standard. There was no stripped-down base model or a higher-spec variant to choose between.
The bike was offered in two colour options - Metallic Mystic Silver and Metallic Stellar Blue - both priced identically. The absence of additional variants was both a strength and a limitation: buyers got a well-equipped machine without compromise, but there was no entry point for budget-conscious buyers who might have been satisfied with fewer features at a lower price.
On-road prices varied significantly by state due to differing RTO tax structures. Delhi buyers paid approximately Rs 15.09 Lakh on the road. Mumbai and Bangalore buyers faced higher on-road costs of Rs 15.70 Lakh and Rs 16.84 Lakh respectively, primarily driven by higher state RTO charges. Kochi was among the most expensive at approximately Rs 17 Lakh on the road.
Suzuki discontinued the Katana from India in September 2025 after roughly three years in the market. No successor model or India-specific variant has been announced. Existing stocks at dealerships are the last available units - no fresh production is planned for the Indian market.

If you are considering buying a remaining Katana unit from dealer stock, expect significant negotiation room. Reports from 2024 suggested six-figure discounts (Rs 50,000-1,00,000) were available at multiple Suzuki dealerships given slow sales. The single-variant structure means there is no feature checklist to navigate - every unit is fully loaded. Confirm the registration deadline with your dealer as stock from discontinued models may have limited insurance and registration windows.
