Katana Colours

The Suzuki Katana was offered in India in two colour options, both priced identically at Rs 13.61 Lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The colour scheme was carefully chosen to evoke the original 1980 Katana's iconic visual identity while feeling contemporary.

Metallic Mystic Silver - The closest spiritual successor to the original 1980 Katana's silver livery that made it instantly recognisable worldwide. The metallic finish catches light dramatically against the sharp, angular body panels, emphasising the geometric lines of the fairing and tank. This is the colour that connects most directly to the bike's heritage and is the choice for anyone who knows the story. The silver also ages well - minor scuffs and scratches are less visible than on darker finishes, which is practical on a CBU motorcycle where panel replacements are expensive.

Metallic Stellar Blue - A deep, rich metallic blue that gives the Katana a more premium, sophisticated look. The blue shifts tonally between deep navy in shade and a brighter cobalt in direct sunlight, adding visual depth that the silver doesn't have. This colour tends to attract buyers who want something that looks modern rather than heritage-focused. It's also somewhat rarer in terms of units sold, which adds a degree of exclusivity.

Both colours feature the same black engine, frame, and wheel finish, with orange accents on the fork legs and frame details - a nod to Suzuki's racing livery heritage.

Neither colour carried a price premium. If heritage resonance is important to you, go silver. If you prefer a more contemporary look that holds its own next to modern rivals, the blue is compelling.
