The most significant recent development for the Suzuki Hayabusa in India is the 2025 model year update, which brought OBD-2B emission compliance to the 1340cc engine. Suzuki made the necessary technical changes while keeping power output and riding character unchanged - 190 PS and 150 Nm remain intact. Crucially, Suzuki also held the price steady at the time of the 2025 launch, a decision widely appreciated by the Hayabusa community given price increases across the wider superbike segment.
The 2025 update also introduced a new Metallic Matt Steel Green/Glass Sparkle Black colour option, replacing the previous grey. Two existing colour schemes (silver/blue and black/titanium) were refreshed with updates to paint finish and accent elements.
In 2024, Suzuki India launched the Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Celebration Edition to mark 25 years since the original GSX1300R debuted in 1999. Priced at Rs 17.70 Lakh ex-showroom, the special edition featured unique badging, a celebratory colour scheme, and limited production numbers. It sold out quickly at most dealerships and continues to command a premium in the used bike market.

Suzuki launched a limited 2026 Hayabusa Special Edition in the UK with an exclusive Pearl Vigor Blue and White paint scheme, a 3D Suzuki emblem and special edition badge on the fuel tank, and a colour-matched seat cowl as standard; UK pricing is £18,999 (approximately Rs 22.15 Lakh) with no India launch confirmed.
