Suzuki Burgman Street 125: Full Specifications & Features
The 2026 Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is powered by a 124.5cc air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, single-cylinder engine. It runs Suzuki's SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) fuel injection system, which keeps the fuelling smooth across the rev range. Peak power is 8.42 PS at 6,500 rpm, and maximum torque is 10.2 Nm at 5,250 rpm - the torque arrives early in the rev range, which explains why the Burgman feels pulled-along in stop-and-go traffic rather than strained. The ARAI-certified mileage is 58.5 kmpl. In real-world city use, owners consistently report 45-50 kmpl, which is excellent for a 114 kg scooter.
The transmission is a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) - fully automatic, no clutch lever, no gear shifts. Ideal for Mumbai or Bengaluru traffic.
Dimensions & Ergonomics The Burgman Street 125 weighs 114 kg kerb (Ride Connect Edition) and 115 kg (TFT Edition). The seat height is 775 mm - 5mm lower than the outgoing model - making it accessible for riders in the 5'3" to 6'0" range. The footboard is flat and wide, giving you room to shift your feet on longer rides. Underseat storage has grown to 24.6 litres in 2026, up from 21.5 litres on the previous generation. A full-face helmet fits.
Wheels & Brakes A major 2026 update is the switch to 12-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels at both ends. The old generation ran 12-inch front and 10-inch rear. The larger rear wheel improves straight-line stability and cornering confidence. Tyres are tubeless MRF units. Braking is handled by a 120mm front disc with a single-piston caliper and a rear drum brake, both linked by CBS (Combined Braking System) - squeeze either lever and both brakes engage proportionally.

Ground clearance is 160 mm - enough for most Indian road conditions, though avoid deep flood water above the floorboard. Fuel tank capacity is 5.5 litres; at 50 kmpl real-world economy, that's a ~275 km range per tank. The Burgman Street 125 does not get a parking brake, which some rival scooters offer. The answer-back function (honk via key fob to locate your parked scooter) is a genuinely useful city feature on the TFT Edition. Suzuki backs the scooter with a standard 2-year/30,000 km warranty.
