The KTM 250 Duke first launched in India in 2017, slotting between the Duke 200 and Duke 390 as a middleweight naked for riders wanting more performance than an entry-level commuter without stepping up to the full 390. It quickly became the enthusiast benchmark in its class, thanks to KTM's trellis-frame handling DNA and WP suspension.
The bike's biggest update came on 11 September 2023, when KTM launched the current Gen-3 platform at Rs 2,39,000 ex-showroom Delhi - a redesigned LC4c engine, a new 2-piece frame, ride-by-wire throttle, a 5-inch TFT dashboard, and a standard-fit Quickshifter+. This was a genuine generational leap, bringing the 250 Duke's tech in line with the larger Duke family.
On 24 February 2026, KTM refreshed the Gen-3 250 Duke with two new colours - Silver Metallic and Slate Grey - at a reduced Rs 2,13,618 ex-showroom. It's important to be clear that this was a cosmetic update only, not a new generation; the mechanical package stayed the same as the September 2023 Gen-3 spec.
Dealer reports (not yet officially confirmed by KTM) point to a further price revision around 1 June 2026, which pushed ex-showroom prices back up to roughly Rs 2.26 lakh - matching current city listings of Rs 2,26,766 in Delhi and similar figures elsewhere. This kind of post-launch price correction, a few months after an introductory offer, is a familiar pattern across KTM's India lineup.

KTM India raised 250 Duke ex-showroom prices around 1 June 2026 - reported by dealers as a Rs 4,000-6,000 hike across the Duke range but never confirmed via an official KTM statement. Live listings now show the 250 Duke at roughly Rs 2,26,766 ex-showroom Delhi, up from Rs 2,13,618 at the February 2026 colour update, and BikeDekho's tracked revision showed a Rs 3,651 jump (Rs 2,17,400 to Rs 2,21,051) for the model, the largest hike in the Duke lineup.
With rivals like the Triumph Speed 400 and TVS Apache RTR 310 gaining traction in the 250-300cc naked space, KTM's June 2026 price hike does narrow its value advantage somewhat. Still, no rival at this price currently matches the Duke 250's standard Quickshifter+ and 5-inch connected TFT, so KTM appears to be betting riders will pay the premium for tech and handling over outright value. No new variant, engine update, or colour has been announced for the 250 Duke as of July 2026, and the February 2026 refresh remains the most recent change to the model. Buyers should keep an eye on dealer-level offers, since post-hike stock clearance discounts are common in the months following a price revision like this one.
