Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R - All Images
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R's design language is borrowed directly from Kawasaki's full-litre supersport lineage. From the side, the sharp fairing lines, low-set clip-on handlebars, and sculpted fuel tank could easily be mistaken for a scaled ZX-6R at first glance - intentional design choices that help justify the ZX-4R's premium positioning in the 400cc class.
The front fascia is defined by twin LED headlamps stacked vertically, a design cue shared with the Ninja ZX-10R. The aggressive nose fairing channels air to the 399cc inline-four beneath, with visible air intakes that serve both function (ram air effect at speed) and form.
In profile, the ZX-4R's steel trellis frame is partially visible between the fairing panels - a deliberate styling choice that shows off the bike's structural engineering. The swingarm is cast aluminium, wide and purposeful-looking.
The cockpit puts the 4.3-inch TFT screen front and centre, flanked by minimal switchgear. The clip-on bars sit low, reinforcing the track-focused riding triangle. Tank-to-seat transition is smooth and taut, suited to the sport riding position.
The sole India colour - Metallic Spark Black - photographs especially well in low light and studio conditions. Owners who want the classic Kawasaki look should look at the ZX-4RR in Lime Green.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is one of the best-looking 400cc bikes available in India - the inline-four architecture and shared visual DNA with Kawasaki's supersport range give it a presence that twin and single-cylinder rivals cannot match. It looks expensive because it is, and the design backs up the price tag.
