The Jawa Perak is powered by a 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine - the same heart that powers the Jawa 42 Bobber, but dressed in a dramatically different body. This engine produces 30.2 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 32.74 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, paired with a slick 6-speed gearbox. The result is a bike that pulls confidently from low revs, making city riding feel effortless and spirited.

The suspension setup uses telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. It's calibrated for a firm, planted ride - something that works beautifully on smooth tarmac but can feel punishing on Mumbai's potholed stretches or rain-washed state highways. Ground clearance is 145mm, workable for city use but not something you'd want to stress over broken terrain.

At 187kg kerb weight, the Perak is on the heavier side for a 334cc motorcycle. The low centre of gravity from its bobber stance helps at slow speeds and in traffic, but it needs a confident hand when manoeuvring at a standstill. The 13.2-litre fuel tank gives a theoretical range of around 450km on ARAI figures; real-world range sits closer to 280-320km given actual fuel consumption of 20-25 kmpl.

The 750mm seat height is a genuine highlight - lower than almost everything in its segment, and it makes the Perak accessible to riders who'd normally struggle with taller adventure or touring bikes. Braking is handled by dual disc brakes front and rear with dual-channel ABS, providing confident feel under hard stops on both wet and dry roads.
