November 2019: The Perak was officially launched at Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom) - the first factory-built bobber from a mainstream Indian brand at a sub-2-lakh price point.
April 2020: Deliveries commenced. Initial owner feedback highlighted the distinctive looks and punchy engine, with early concerns around suspension stiffness and service availability in smaller cities.
2021-2022 (BS6 Update): Jawa upgraded the Perak to the BS6-compliant version of its 334cc engine. Output was marginally revised; the fuel injection system received refinements for smoother throttle response.
2023: Jawa launched the Stealth variant with alloy wheels, alongside a spoke-wheel option. Prices were revised upward to reflect input cost increases across the industry.

Jawa is running a free service camp across authorised dealerships from 23 to 31 May 2026, offering complimentary basic check-ups, labour discounts, and select spare parts offers for Jawa Perak and other models in the lineup.
Classic Legends, the parent company of Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA, announced plans in April 2026 to launch four new motorcycles in FY27, with the lineup expected to include updates to the Jawa platform and new Yezdi scrambler variants alongside BSA models.
