Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 Colour Options
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 is available in one colour: Silver Grey. This is a deliberate design choice - Husqvarna has always leaned into a stripped-back, functional aesthetic, and Silver Grey fits that philosophy. It is a cool-toned, semi-matte finish that photographs well and ages better in real-world use than glossy alternatives that show scratches and swirl marks easily.
In person, the colour works alongside the exposed steel trellis frame and dark engine casing to create a coherent, purposeful look. Unlike bikes that compete for attention with multiple flashy colourways, the Svartpilen's restraint is part of its identity. The single-colour lineup also means there are no premium colour surcharges - what you see on the brochure is what you pay.
The Silver Grey finish is applied to the bodywork panels - front and rear fenders, side panels, and fuel tank. The subframe is matte black, the spoke wheels are black, and the engine is a dark metallic casing. The combination is intentionally austere and holds up surprisingly well against Indian road dust and grime.
Some riders miss the option to personalise from the factory. The aftermarket has responded: Husqvarna dealers stock Akrapovič exhaust systems that change the bike's visual and aural character significantly. Vinyl decal kits and tank wraps are a popular choice in the Indian Svartpilen owner community, offering personality without permanent paint changes.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 Matte Black colour option
It is worth seeing the Svartpilen 401 in Silver Grey under natural outdoor light before making a purchase decision - showroom fluorescents can make the colour appear flatter than it actually is. In bright sunlight, the Silver Grey picks up a slight metallic shimmer; in overcast conditions it reads as more utilitarian grey.
For paint care, use a matte-safe wax or detailer spray on the panels. Avoid high-pressure jet washing directed at decals or the instrument cluster. If a panel is damaged, replacement parts are available through Husqvarna authorised service centres, though panels tend to carry a price premium compared to mainstream Indian brands.
