Honda X-ADV 750 Specifications
The Honda X-ADV 750's headline number is 745cc - and that single figure tells you this is not a normal scooter. The liquid-cooled, SOHC 8-valve parallel-twin engine makes 57.79 bhp at 6,750 rpm and 69 Nm of torque at 4,750 rpm. More important than the numbers is how power reaches the rear wheel: through Honda's 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. In Automatic mode the DCT is transparently smooth - you roll the throttle and the bike figures out the rest. Paddle shifters give you manual gear selection when the road demands it.
For Indian roads, the relevant specs start with ground clearance: 165 mm, which handles city obstacles comfortably. The suspension is proper adventure hardware - 41mm upside-down USD forks up front, preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Both wheels are wire-spoke units, which is both authentic adventure-spec and practically useful; spokes can be straightened roadside far more easily than cast alloy.
ARAI-rated mileage is 27.77 kmpl. Owner-reported real-world figures sit between 22-30 kmpl in mixed riding, translating to 290-395 km on the 13.2-litre tank. That range is acceptable for city use but a genuine limitation on multi-day tours where petrol stations thin out.
At 237 kg and 820 mm seat height, this is a big, wide machine. Five ride modes - Standard, Sport, Rain, Gravel, and User - adjust throttle mapping and the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) traction control. Gravel mode softens power delivery and allows controlled rear-wheel slip on loose surfaces. It won't handle deep off-road, but a Spiti-approach gravel track, a forest road, or a beach run is within its brief.
Technology on board: 5-inch TFT colour display with Honda RoadSync Bluetooth (calls, navigation, music), cruise control, keyless ignition, dual-channel ABS, full LED lighting, USB-C charging port, and a 22-litre LED-lit underseat storage compartment - large enough for a full-face helmet and light jacket.

Buyers sometimes underestimate what 237 kg means in practice. That's heavier than a Kawasaki Versys 650. At low speeds - parking, a tight U-turn, stop-start traffic - the weight is the dominant variable. The 820 mm seat height, combined with the X-ADV's width, means riders under 5'6" will be on their tiptoes; test-ride before committing if you're buying for daily city use. The DCT's Gravel mode is functional off-tarmac, but the 165 mm ground clearance and road-biased tyres set a clear limit - loose village roads and mild forest tracks, not rocky riverbeds. For an accurate cost-of-ownership picture, note that the X-ADV is now discontinued in India; factor in parts availability when calculating service costs over a 3-5 year ownership horizon.
