Honda Livo - Latest News, Launch Updates & Changes
2025 Honda Livo launched - February 2025 Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) launched the 2025 Livo at Rs 83,080 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Drum variant. The headline change is OBD2B compliance - a regulatory requirement for all two-wheelers in India from 2025 - but Honda didn't stop there. The bike also gets an all-new fully digital LCD instrument cluster, replacing the previous semi-digital unit.
The new cluster brings: real-time fuel economy display, distance to empty, gear position indicator, eco indicator, service due indicator, side-stand indicator, and fuel level. These were features buyers had to step up to the Honda SP 125 to get - now available at the Livo's entry-level price.
A side-stand engine cut-off system has also been added - the engine won't start (or will cut out) if the side stand is deployed, preventing a common accident source.
The engine itself - 109.51cc, 8.67 bhp, 9.3 Nm - remains unchanged from the previous generation. No new colour carryovers either; all three colours are new for 2025.
OBD2B - what it means for owners OBD2B (On-Board Diagnostics Phase 2B) is India's upgraded emissions monitoring standard. For the owner, this means better fuel mapping for consistent mileage across varying temperatures, and easier fault diagnosis at service centres via an OBD port - reducing guesswork and potentially lowering long-term service costs.

The Honda Livo's effective ex-showroom price in 2026 is listed at Rs 81,650 (base variant) across major aggregator platforms, reflecting a marginal reduction from the February 2025 launch price of Rs 83,080, likely due to state-level tax adjustments.
Honda Livo monthly sales jumped to 3,664 units in July 2025, up from 2,361 units in June 2025 - a month-on-month increase of approximately 55%, reflecting strong demand following the 2025 model launch.
The 2025 Honda Livo was launched at Rs 83,080 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Drum variant and Rs 85,878 for the Disc variant, featuring an OBD2B-compliant engine, a new fully digital LCD instrument cluster with gear position indicator and distance-to-empty, and a side-stand engine cut-off system.
The Livo has been around since 2015 and has sold consistently through multiple BS transitions. The 2025 update is the most feature-rich version yet, making it well-positioned against rivals like the TVS Star City Plus and Hero Passion Pro which have also been adding digital features in recent years.
