The Honda CB300R runs a 286cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine - the same platform Honda uses globally for the CB300 series. It makes 31.1 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 27.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, with power delivered through a 6-speed gearbox fitted with a slip-and-assist clutch.

What separates the CB300R from rivals on paper is the combination of outputs and weight. At 146 kg kerb weight, the power-to-weight ratio is genuinely excellent for a 300cc Indian-market bike. The Neo Sports Café design wraps that platform in USD front forks and a rear monoshock with seven-stage preload adjustment - both functional choices that give the bike quick, composed handling.

Suspension travel is 41 mm front and 45 mm rear, which isn't plush but suits the sporty, connected feel the CB300R targets. Braking comes from a 296 mm front disc and 220 mm rear disc, anchored by dual-channel ABS with an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) - a feature usually reserved for much pricier bikes, and genuinely useful on wet roads.
