The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V has been in the lineup since its 2022 launch and continues with its 163cc 4-valve DOHC engine, USD front forks, and two-variant ABS lineup. No major mechanical or design update has been announced for 2026.

Hero has made incremental price adjustments to the Xtreme 160R 4V for 2026. The Single-channel ABS variant is currently priced at Rs 1,38,491 and the Dual-channel ABS at Rs 1,47,191 ex-showroom Delhi.

Hero MotoCorp has revised prices on the Xtreme 160R 4V lineup for 2026. The Single-channel ABS variant is now Rs 1,38,491 and the Dual-channel ABS at Rs 1,47,191 ex-showroom Delhi - incremental adjustments reflecting input cost changes. No mechanical or feature changes have been made to the 163cc 4-valve DOHC engine or the USD front fork setup.
Hero MotoCorp officially launched the Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition on November 26, 2025 at Rs 1,34,100 ex-showroom Delhi - making it the first 160cc motorcycle in India with cruise control, ride-by-wire throttle, and three selectable ride modes (Rain, Road, Sport). The Combat Edition also features a revised LED headlight design inspired by the Xtreme 250R and a new colour-LCD instrument console.
Hero MotoCorp unveiled the Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition on November 18, 2025, revealing segment-first cruise control and ride-by-wire throttle ahead of the official launch. The unveil confirmed three ride modes (Rain, Road, Sport), a new LED headlight cluster shared with the Xtreme 250R, and Kevlar Brown as an exclusive Combat Edition colour.
The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition began arriving at authorised Hero dealerships from November 7, 2025 - ahead of the official launch - allowing prospective buyers to view the new model featuring cruise control and segment-first ride modes.
What to Watch
Hero has been investing in performance motorcycle development - the Xtreme 250R and Xtreme 125R are part of an expanding Xtreme lineup. An update to the Xtreme 160R 4V with connected features or a slipper clutch hasn't been confirmed, but would align with where the competition (Apache RTR 160 4V) has been pushing.
