2026 Update: Dual-Channel ABS, Cruise Control, Ride-by-Wire
The most significant update to the Xtreme 125R came in 2025-26 when Hero added a top variant with dual-channel ABS, ride-by-wire throttle, three ride modes (Eco / Road / Power), and electronic cruise control. This variant is priced at Rs 1,04,000 ex-showroom and is positioned as India's first sporty 125cc motorcycle with these combined features.
The ride-by-wire system (Electronic Throttle Body) replaces the mechanical cable connection between the twist-grip and throttle body with an electronic signal. This enables the three ride modes and cruise control - features previously only available on 300cc+ motorcycles in India.
Single-Seat Variant Launch
Hero launched a single-piece seat variant of the Xtreme 125R at Rs 1,00,000.
