February 2025 - Launch at Bharat Mobility Expo Hero MotoCorp officially unveiled and launched the Xoom 125 at the Bharat Mobility Expo (Auto Expo 2025) in February 2025. It was priced at Rs 86,900 for the VX and Rs 92,900 for the ZX, both ex-showroom Delhi. Deliveries began in March 2025. The scooter had originally debuted as a concept at EICMA 2023, with Hero taking two years to bring it to market.
Late 2025 - Price Reduction After GST 2.0 Following the government's GST restructuring, Hero reduced the Xoom 125's price by up to Rs 7,291 in late 2025. For a brief period, the VX was available under Rs 82,000 ex-showroom. Prices have since stabilised back toward launch-era levels as dealer adjustments settled.
Upcoming - Hero Xoom 125R Multiple sources have spotted a more performance-oriented variant, the Hero Xoom 125R, testing on Indian roads. Expected to add fuel injection (FI), a more aggressive fairing, and potentially a revised suspension tune. The 'R' suffix follows the Hero Xtreme 125R pattern. No official launch date confirmed as of May 2026, but it is expected by late 2026.
Hero Xoom 160 At the same Bharat Mobility Expo, Hero also launched the Xoom 160 - a bigger-engined sibling with a 163cc engine targeting the premium maxi-scooter space. While not directly competitive with the 125cc segment, it shows Hero's intent to build a full Xoom family.
