Hero Splendor Plus Xtec All Variants & Ex-Showroom Prices 2026
The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec is available in three variants, each adding something specific to the mix.
Drum Brake - OBD 2B (Rs 79,870 ex-showroom) The entry variant is the value play. You get the full Xtec technology package - Bluetooth digital console, i3S, USB charger, LED position lights - with drum brakes front and rear. For riders who mostly cover urban distances below 60 kmph, the drums are adequate. This is the variant most commonly seen on Indian roads today.
Disc Brake - OBD 2B (Rs 81,659 ex-showroom) At Rs 1,789 more than the base variant, the Disc Brake version adds a front disc brake for noticeably better stopping power and modulation. If you ride on busy highways, overtake frequently, or commute in wet monsoon conditions, the disc brake is worth every extra rupee. The rest of the spec sheet is identical to the Drum variant.
2.0 - Drum Brake - OBD 2B (Rs 82,284 ex-showroom) Launched in May 2024, the Xtec 2.0 is the style upgrade. It's the only 100cc motorcycle in India with a full-LED headlight - the H-shaped DRLs and H-shaped tail light give it a distinctly modern face that the older variants lack. It also adds hazard lights, new colour options, and updated graphics. On the mechanical side, everything is the same as the base Drum variant. The 2.0 brakes still use drums, so if safety is the priority, you'd actually be better off with the Rs 81,659 Disc variant.
There's no single 'best' variant - it depends on your priorities. Budget-conscious riders and those focused on pure reliability should go for the base Drum. Frequent highway riders should choose the Disc for safer braking. Style-first buyers who want the LED headlight and modern face should pick the 2.0.

On-road prices in major cities are significantly higher than ex-showroom due to RTO road tax, insurance, and dealer charges. In Delhi, the Drum variant's on-road price is approximately Rs 94,769. In Bangalore it crosses Rs 1,01,801. When comparing variants, keep in mind that EMI differences between the three variants are typically less than Rs 70-80 per month on a standard 36-month loan - making it sensible to upgrade to the Disc or 2.0 rather than stretching the budget significantly.
