Hero Splendor Plus Xtec - Latest News, Price Updates & Launches
The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec has gone through a few notable updates since its original launch in 2022.
May 2024 - Xtec 2.0 Launched at Rs 82,911 Hero MotoCorp launched the Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 on May 30, 2024, priced at Rs 82,911 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The headline addition was a full-LED headlight - making it the only 100cc motorcycle in India with LED lighting at the time. The 2.0 also added H-shaped DRLs, a matching H-shaped tail light, hazard lights, new colour schemes, and updated graphics. Mechanically, nothing changed - same 97.2cc engine, same 73 kmpl ARAI mileage.
January 2026 - Rs 250 Price Hike Across All Variants Hero MotoCorp revised prices for the Splendor Plus Xtec range by Rs 250 across all three variants at the start of 2026. The Drum variant now starts at Rs 79,870, the Disc at Rs 81,659, and the 2.0 at Rs 82,284 (all ex-showroom). The hike is in line with cost adjustments Hero applied to its entire lineup.
2025 - OBD 2B Compliance Update All three Splendor Plus Xtec variants were updated to meet OBD 2B (On-Board Diagnostics Phase 2B) regulations as mandated by the Indian government, reflected in the updated variant names (OBD 2B suffix). This is a regulatory change and doesn't affect the riding experience.
Ongoing - Variant & Colour Refreshes Hero periodically refreshes the colour palette and graphics for the Splendor lineup. The 2024 Xtec 2.0 update introduced new metallic colour options that have since become part of the standard Xtec range.

Hero MotoCorp's total dispatches for April 2026 reached 566,086 units - an 85% year-on-year increase versus 305,406 units in April 2025 - with the Splendor family continuing to lead domestic motorcycle sales.
The Hero Splendor family led Hero MotoCorp's March 2026 domestic sales with 332,227 units dispatched, registering 3.01% year-on-year growth and accounting for over 60% of Hero's total domestic sales for the month.
Hero MotoCorp raised ex-showroom prices of the Splendor Plus Xtec lineup by Rs 250 across all variants effective January 19, 2026, citing increased production costs. The Drum variant now starts at Rs 79,870, Disc at Rs 81,659, and 2.0 at Rs 82,284.
Hero MotoCorp updated the Splendor Plus Xtec range in April 2025 with OBD2B-compliant engines as mandated by the Indian government. The 97.2cc engine specifications - 7.9 bhp and 8.05 Nm - remain unchanged; the update is regulatory only.
