The heart of the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy 114 is the Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-twin - a 1,868cc twin-cam, air-and-oil-cooled unit that produces 92.71 bhp at 5,020 rpm and a thumping 155 Nm of torque at just 3,000 rpm. That torque figure puts it comfortably above most bikes you will encounter in its price range, and you feel every Newton-metre of it the moment you crack the throttle past 2,500 rpm on an open highway.

The engine breathes through a 6-speed gearbox and sends power to the rear Dunlop tyre via a low-maintenance belt drive - no chain to lube, tighten, or replace. The Softail frame keeps the classic hardtail silhouette while hiding a rear monoshock for compliance over broken roads. Up front, 49mm telescopic forks with aluminium triple clamps handle the bumps, wrapped in retro "beer can" covers that are purely cosmetic and entirely brilliant.

Braking is handled by dual disc brakes at both ends - a 4-piston fixed caliper up front and a 2-piston at the rear - with dual-channel ABS standard. The switchable cornering ABS adds confidence on wet or uneven surfaces. The 18.9-litre fuel tank gives a theoretical range of around 340 km at the ARAI-claimed 18 kmpl - real-world figures typically settle at 14-16 kmpl depending on throttle habits and traffic conditions. The 5-inch digital instrument console covers speedometer, fuel level, gear indicator, dual trip meters, and a clock, all in an analogue-inspired layout that fits the bike's classic character.
