Streetfighter V2 Specifications

The 2025 Ducati Streetfighter V2 is built around an entirely new 890cc V-twin engine - the first Ducati twin-cylinder motor to abandon the Desmodromic valve system that has been the brand's mechanical signature since the 1950s. In its place, Ducati has used a conventional spring-and-finger-follower valvetrain that makes the engine lighter (54.4 kg, the lightest V-twin Ducati has built), more compact, and significantly cheaper to maintain. Valve clearance checks are now required every 30,000 km - roughly the same interval as any Japanese middleweight.

The engine produces 119.64 PS at 10,750 rpm and 93.3 Nm at 8,250 rpm - putting it above the KTM 890 Duke and comparable to the Triumph Street Triple RS in raw output. The power comes from a 90-degree V-angle that gives excellent primary balance, a distinctive firing character, and that unmistakable Ducati V-twin sound.

The frame is an aluminium monocoque - the same architecture used in the Panigale V2 - keeping total kerb weight at 200 kg. Suspension on the base V2 is fully adjustable 43mm Marzocchi USD forks and a Kayaba monoshock. The V2 S upgrades to fully adjustable Öhlins NIX-30 forks and an Öhlins TTX36 rear shock, plus a lithium-ion battery saving 3 kg. Both variants ride on Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres and use 320mm front and 245mm rear discs with Brembo calipers.

Electronics are governed by a 6-axis IMU enabling Cornering ABS with slide-by-brake, Ducati Traction Control with predictive strategy, Ducati Wheelie Control, DQS 2.0 quickshifter, Engine Brake Control, and a Sachs electronic steering damper. Four riding modes - Race, Sport, Road, Wet - alter throttle and electronics intervention. A 5-inch TFT display connects via Bluetooth.
