November 27, 2025 - Ducati Streetfighter V2 & V2 S Launched in India Ducati officially launched the all-new 2025 Streetfighter V2 and V2 S in India on November 27, 2025. The base V2 is priced at Rs 17,50,200 and the V2 S at Rs 19,48,900 (ex-showroom). The launch marks a generational shift - the old 955cc Desmodromic engine is replaced by a new 890cc unit with conventional valve springs, producing 119.64 PS and 93.3 Nm. The new engine is lighter (54.4 kg), and requires valve clearance checks every 30,000 km instead of every 24,000 km.

The Non-Desmo Engine: What It Means For over six decades, Desmodromic valve actuation - in which valves are mechanically opened and closed rather than relying on springs - was Ducati's defining engineering identity. The 890cc Streetfighter V2 replaces this with a spring-and-finger-follower system derived from MotoGP R&D, achieving lower weight and dramatically reduced service complexity. This is the most significant engineering change in the Streetfighter V2's history.
