Scrambler 1100 Specifications

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 is built around a 1079cc L-twin Desmodromic engine - air and oil cooled, with 2 valves per cylinder actuated by Ducati's signature desmo system. The engine produces 85.65 PS at 7500 rpm and 88 Nm of peak torque at 4750 rpm, channelled through a 6-speed gearbox with a hydraulically actuated slipper clutch. That slipper clutch is more useful than it sounds: on aggressive downshifts into hairpins, it prevents rear wheel chatter and keeps things tidy.

Suspension is a highlight. Up front, 45mm Marzocchi upside-down forks with 150mm of travel soak up broken tarmac well. The rear runs a Kayaba monoshock with adjustable preload, keeping things planted even when the road deteriorates. Ground clearance sits at a practical 160mm - enough for confident riding over city speed bumps and light gravel.

Braking is handled by Brembo-sourced hardware: a 320mm disc up front with a radially mounted 4-piston caliper, and a 245mm disc at the rear. Bosch's Cornering ABS oversees both ends and adjusts intervention based on lean angle - a genuinely safety-critical feature on a bike this powerful. Three riding modes (Active, City, Journey) alter throttle map and traction control intensity. Active is the sharpest; City softens delivery for traffic; Journey splits the difference for touring.

Kerb weight comes in at 206 kg - lighter than rivals like the Triumph Street Scrambler at 223 kg and the RE Super Meteor at 241 kg. Seat height at 810 mm will challenge shorter riders, though the relatively narrow seat profile helps. The 15-litre tank (4 litres reserve) gives a range of around 250-285 km in mixed riding. ARAI-rated mileage is 20 kmpl; expect 15-18 kmpl in real-world city conditions.
