Ducati Panigale V4 R Full Specifications & Technical Details
The Ducati Panigale V4 R is built around the 998cc Desmosedici Stradale R - a 90° V4 engine architecture carried over directly from Ducati's MotoGP programme. In road-legal trim it produces 221 bhp at 15,750 rpm and 111.3 Nm of torque at 12,000 rpm. That rev ceiling of 16,500 rpm is extraordinary for a street-homologated engine; for context, most performance motorcycles redline below 14,000 rpm. The racier 'R' suffix means this engine breathes through larger intake valves, runs higher compression, and uses titanium connecting rods.
The 2026 model introduces a new aluminium frame with revised geometry for sharper turn-in, and a new swingarm tuned alongside Öhlins for improved rear traction feedback. Up front, the Öhlins NPX 25/30 pressurised fork is manually adjustable for compression, rebound and preload - ideal for precise track setup but requiring mechanical knowledge to dial in correctly. The rear uses an Öhlins TTX36 monoshock on a progressive linkage.
Braking hardware is sourced entirely from Brembo. The front uses dual 330mm semi-floating discs gripped by Brembo Stylema monobloc 4-piston calipers - the same specification used in WorldSBK-class racing. The rear runs a 245mm disc with a 2-piston caliper. Dual-channel ABS with cornering sensitivity (via the IMU) comes as standard.
The aerodynamic package is the 2026 V4 R's headline feature: Corner Sidepods generate a ground-effect aerodynamic load at extreme lean angles - a world first for a homologated road bike. Combined with the enlarged biplane front wings, total downforce is up 25% over the outgoing model. Ducati claims measurable lap time improvements at circuits like Misano and Jerez.
Kerb weight stands at 193.5 kg - competitive for a full-fairing litre-class superbike with this level of equipment. Seat height is 850 mm, which will challenge shorter riders in a straight line but is entirely manageable once moving.

The Panigale V4 R is equipped with the new Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) electronics platform - a first for Ducati - which uses an inertial measurement unit (IMU) plus sensor fusion to continuously estimate tyre condition and road surface grip. This feeds directly into the eight-stage traction control, three-stage ABS, and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) for seamless clutchless up and downshifts. There are also three Power Modes (Full, Mid, Low) and a Race-specific electronics package. The new 5-inch TFT display with Track Evo mode allows riders to configure and monitor all parameters on the move. For a machine primarily designed for circuit use, the spec sheet is as close to a factory Superbike as Indian regulations permit.
