January 2026 - Ducati Panigale V4 R Launched in India at Rs 84.99 Lakh
Ducati India officially launched the 2026 Panigale V4 R in January 2026, pricing it at Rs 84.99 lakh ex-showroom. The first delivery in India was made by Ducati Chennai on 1 January 2026. The 2026 model represents a comprehensive redesign over its predecessor, introducing the Corner Sidepods aerodynamic system, a new aluminium frame, the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) electronics platform, and the Racing Gearbox with neutral-below-first - a production first.
2025-2026 - Rear Brake Recall
Ducati issued a recall for the 2025-2026 Panigale V4 and V4 R citing a risk of rear brake failure. This was the second recall for the same issue, after the initial fix was found to be insufficient. Ducati India proactively contacted registered owners for the rectification. If you purchased a V4 R in late 2025 or early 2026, confirm with your dealership that the recall work has been completed on your unit.
2026 Season - WorldSBK Homologation Confirmed
The 2026 Panigale V4 R received WorldSBK homologation, confirming that its 998cc engine, Corner Sidepod aerodynamics, and Racing Gearbox are all sanctioned for use in the Superbike World Championship. Ducati's factory WorldSBK team campaign adds aspirational value to every road-registered V4 R sold.
2026 - Ducati Corse Performance Accessories Available in India
Ducati India confirmed availability of the full Corse Performance accessories catalogue for the V4 R, including the Termignoni racing exhaust system, titanium fuel tank cap, carbon fibre fairing panels, and data logging kit. Pricing for the full Termignoni exhaust in India is available on request from dealerships.

Ducati has issued a second recall for the 2025-2026 Panigale V4 and Streetfighter V4 range - again for the risk of rear brake hose damage caused by exhaust heat. The previous thermal shield fix from the January 2025 recall proved insufficient after a field failure was discovered; Ducati is now installing a new, larger heat shield on all affected units globally, including India.
Ducati recalled 1,440 units of the 2025-2026 Panigale V4, Panigale V4 S, Streetfighter V4, and Streetfighter V4 S globally in February 2026 for a rear brake hose heat-damage defect. The ABS brake hose is susceptible to damage from exhaust heat, risking rear brake loss; Ducati is fitting a redesigned, larger thermal shield at authorised service centres at no cost to owners.
