Diavel V4 Specifications

The Ducati Diavel V4 is powered by the Granturismo V4 - a 1158cc liquid-cooled, four-cylinder unit making 170.33 PS at 10,750 rpm and 126 Nm at 7,500 rpm. This is not your average cruiser engine. The V4 configuration uses a counter-rotating crankshaft and a Twin Pulse firing order that gives the Diavel a distinctly aggressive character - one that sounds as good as it goes.

The engine breathes through a Bosch ride-by-wire throttle and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter as standard. The wet multiplate clutch is hydraulically controlled and self-servo, keeping pull lighter than you'd expect on a bike this size.

For suspension, Ducati has fitted a fully adjustable 50mm Marzocchi USD front fork with 120mm of travel, and a fully adjustable Sachs monoshock at the rear with 145mm of travel. This setup soaks up broken tarmac on Indian roads without the front end going vague - a genuine surprise for a motorcycle styled as a cruiser.

Braking hardware is top-shelf: twin 330mm Brembo discs up front with radially-mounted M4.32 monobloc calipers - the same unit used on the Panigale V4 - and a 265mm single disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS with cornering function is standard, as is the IMU-driven Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) that runs lean-angle-sensitive safety systems in real time.

The electronics suite is the most comprehensive in its segment: six riding modes (Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet, plus two custom slots), Ducati Traction Control EVO 2 (DTC), Ducati Cornering ABS EVO (DCA), Wheelie Control EVO, Engine Brake Control (EBC), Launch Control, Slide Control, and a pit lane speed limiter. All managed via a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth smartphone connectivity.

Kerb weight is 236 kg, seat height is 790 mm, and the 20-litre tank gives a theoretical highway range of around 300 km.
