BMW G 310 RR Latest News
The BMW G 310 RR had an eventful 2025. The most significant development was its survival through the April 2025 OBD2B emission norm transition - BMW Motorrad recertified the RR's engine while choosing to discontinue the G 310 R and G 310 GS. The decision confirmed that BMW views the fully-faired sport variant as the 310-platform's last remaining model in India, likely holding this position until the BMW F 450 R (the naked roadster on the new 449cc platform) arrives in India.
In September 2025, BMW Motorrad India launched the G 310 RR Limited Edition - a 310-unit numbered run at Rs 2,99,000, introducing the Polar White colour exclusive to this edition. Each unit carried a serialised plaque. The Limited Edition sold quickly and is likely exhausted from initial dealer allocations at the time of writing.
The broader BMW 450 platform transition - which began with the BMW F 450 GS launching in India on April 23, 2026 at Rs 4.70 lakh - provides context for the G 310 RR's position in BMW Motorrad India's lineup. The F 450 GS has already sold out its initial allocation with waiting periods extending to September 2026. The BMW F 450 R (naked roadster successor to the G 310 R) is expected to debut at EICMA 2026 in November, with an India launch likely in early 2027.
For G 310 RR buyers in 2026: this is the end-of-lifecycle phase for the 310 platform. The RR will continue on sale but its long-term model future is limited. BMW service support for the 312cc platform will continue through the dealer network. This does not affect immediate ownership quality - the bike is fully warranted and serviced - but it is context worth having for buyers comparing the RR against newer-platform competitors.

BMW Motorrad India has confirmed post-discontinuation service support for 310-family motorcycles through its authorised dealer network. For G 310 RR owners, spare parts availability and trained service staff are not an immediate concern. BMW Motorrad India's service training covers both the 310-platform and the new 450-platform, ensuring continuity. Keep an eye on BMW Motorrad India's official channels for any announcements regarding production end dates for the G 310 RR.
