Zontes 350R: Latest News, Updates and Launches
The Zontes 350R was launched in India in November 2022 under the Moto Vault distribution network, making it one of the first Chinese premium motorcycles to take a serious run at the sub-400cc performance segment. Since launch, Zontes India has maintained the Rs 2,57,000 ex-showroom price point, keeping the 350R competitive against an increasingly crowded field.
The biggest news story around the 350R in recent months has been the arrival of stronger rivals. The Triumph Speed 400, launched in partnership with Bajaj in 2023, brought 40 bhp and Triumph's badge recognition to a price point close to the Zontes. The KTM 390 Duke received significant updates, and Royal Enfield's Guerrilla 450 further tightened the mid-segment competition. Despite this, the 350R retains its unique position as the most feature-loaded option in its price bracket - none of its rivals offer keyless ignition, TPMS and Bluetooth as standard at this price.
Zontes India has also gradually expanded the Moto Vault dealership footprint, which was a significant pain point for early adopters. Service centre coverage in Tier-2 cities remains limited, but major metros are better served than they were at launch.
The 350R has also been tested extensively by the Indian motorcycling press, with consensus settling on the same verdict: spectacular features and design for the money, with chassis dynamics and engine refinement that trail the best in class. The BikeDekho road test and Autocar India review both singled out the suspension and gearbox as areas that need improvement in any future update.

Zontes India unveiled upcoming models for 2026, including the Zontes 350E, U1 200 and S350, signalling continued expansion of its Indian lineup beyond the current 350R, 350X, 350T and 350T ADV.
Zontes India expanded its Moto Vault dealer network to over 40 outlets across 10+ states, addressing a major pain point for the 350R that had limited service access since the model's 2022 launch.
Zontes cut the 350X price by Rs 59,000 to Rs 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom) in July 2025 - the second price reduction for the model since launch - with slow sales cited as the likely driver. The 350R price remained at Rs 2.57 lakh.
Zontes slashed prices across its entire India lineup effective January 18, 2024 - the 350R was cut by Rs 46,000 from Rs 3.25 lakh to Rs 2.79 lakh, the 350T by Rs 48,000, and the 350T ADV by Rs 42,000, with no reduction in specifications.
