The Vespa SXL 150's design is its most compelling feature - there is genuinely nothing else on Indian roads that looks quite like it. The monocoque steel body means no visible frame members; the body panels flow into each other seamlessly in a way that modern scooters with plastic fairings simply cannot replicate.
From the front, the SXL 150 presents the full-LED headlamp with integrated DRLs set into the classic Vespa headset. The round headlamp is flanked by chrome mirror stalks - a period-correct detail that elevates the premium feel significantly. The handlebar is wide and upright, contributing to an ergonomically comfortable riding position.
The side profile is the money shot: the monocoque body creates a single sweeping line from the front apron through to the rear. There are no gaps, no plastic panel joints, no visible frame - just steel, shaped into a scooter. The single-side arm front suspension is visible here, a functional element that doubles as a design statement.
At the rear, the rounded tail section houses a combined stop-tail light unit. Under the seat is a 10-litre storage compartment with a boot lamp - useful for a helmet or a day bag. The spare wheel bracket is mounted below the seat on the left side, a practical Vespa tradition.
The instrument cluster is semi-digital: an analogue speedometer with a small LCD inset for fuel level, odometer, and trip meter. It's a bit sparse for the price point but fits the retro aesthetic. The USB charging port is mounted on the left side of the apron.

Available in six colours - Blue, Matt Black, Matt Red, Matt Yellow, Tuscany Orange, and Pearl White - each changes the scooter's personality significantly. The Racing Sixties edition gets a two-tone treatment with contrasting seat stitching and panel accents. Photography across all colour options is available on the Vespa India website and Indian automotive portals including BikeWale, BikeDekho, and ZigWheels.
